About The Changing Lives Initiative: Flourish & Thrive

The Changing Lives Initiative is a cross-border partnership – with two Community/ Voluntary organisations: Archways, delivering the project in the South, and Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, delivering the project in the North. Dundalk Institute of Technology, completes the partnership, providing evaluation and e-Health expertise.

 

Background

 

The Changing Lives Initiative began through a 3.5 year EU Interreg VA funded project (2017 – 2021) to deliver and evaluate a new community based early intervention programme for ADHD in Louth, Belfast and Western Scotland.  

There were five partner organisations involved in the first Changing Lives Initiative project: Archways, Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, Dundalk Institute of Technology, The Genesis Programme (Louth Leader Partnership) and NHS Highland.

The project was very successful, delivering support to over 2,000 families.  A report on the first project is available here

In late 2022, the Health Service Executive began funding provision of the Changing Lives Initiative early intervention programme for ADHD in Counties Louth and Meath.

In late 2024, the Changing Lives Initiative successfully secured funding from the PEACEPLUS Programme for a new phase of the project – The Changing Lives Initiative: Flourish & Thrive.  The Flourish & Thrive project is set to be launched in September 2025.
